Founded in 2013 by Managing Director, Stephen Govenlock, Govenlock Europa Consulting & Company Representation Ltd, was established to support organisations looking to expand internationally in the maritime and defence industries, with a focus on supporting and representing those entering Europe.
In more recent years it has also moved to provide services, guidance and strategic advice to companies such as James Fisher Defence, looking to expand their business, with the development and implementation of a worldwide agent expansion strategy.
Govenlock Europa is able to draw from over 25 years of experience developing and identifying new business for Clients in a variety of sectors. We have experience negotiating and winning large value contracts in excess of £10 million and of building pipelines of business in excess of £100m. We have developed strong relationships with key end users, stakeholders, primary OEM's and their tier suppliers, which we can access and work with, as we look to develop opportunities for our Clients.

A Civil Engineer (Hons) graduate from Heriot Watt University with 10 years experience working with companies such as Ove Arup, Mott Macdonald and Taylor Woodrow.
During this time Stephen designed and Project Managed various Civil projects including a Nuclear Power Station, Airport, Roads and Bridges, Rosyth Dock 57 Trident Submarine Base, Clyde Submarine Base Faslane and Devonport Dockyard.
In 1994 Stephen turned to the dark “commercial” side and since then has been developing an extensive knowledge and understanding of how to grow business both in the UK and abroad.
Stephen has developed sales pipelines of £100 million plus, has secured individual capital sales of over £10 million, as well as being short listed for the 1998 Scottish Marketeer of the Year for his Chinese market entry with GGM.

Over the last 37 years (26 years running Strategic Value Partners (SVP)) Malcolm has advised or personally invested in over 35 company restructurings (including Management Buy-Outs (MBO), MBI’s etc). SVP is Malcolm’s firm which is based in Bristol (UK) and operates around the world in UK, Europe, Middle East and USA having qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) with KMG Thomson McLintock (KPMG).
Malcolm (58) has combined his past business life as a company “trouble-shooter”, corporate financier and project finance (China) with his experiences as a culture expert and former International sportsman to deliver ‘conscious’ Board and senior management team (SMT) facilitation, Integration and development.
Nowadays he facilitates and trains Boards and SMT’s around ‘Effective Governance and Strategic Leadership’ highlighting and challenging the importance of energising the connection between ‘individual and organisational purpose’ (spiritual meaning) with the delivery of ‘business results’ to create wealth. Malcolm’s practical experience is in linking the ‘hard’ business skills of corporate finance, corporate recovery and strategy with the ‘soft’ behavioural skills of strategic leadership, organisational culture and personal development; linking ‘Corporate Health, Wealth and Wellbeing’.
Malcolm undertakes work with both the private and public sectors incorporating the full range of SME’s through to LE.
